  • Myofunctional therapy is a series of exercises that retrain the muscles of the face, mouth, and tongue to improve breathing, swallowing, speech, and posture. It’s gentle, personalized, and often life-changing.

  • People of all ages—from infants and children with mouth breathing, tongue tie, or speech issues, to adults struggling with sleep apnea or TMJ pain, can benefit. If breathing, chewing, or sleeping don’t feel natural or easy, therapy may help.

  • Our treatments are tailored to each patient’s needs. Please schedule a consultation to determine your personalized therapy plan.

  • Every journey is unique. We typically see clients every week for 8 weeks to start. Most clients see progress within weeks, with full programs usually lasting between 6 and 9 months, depending on goals and consistency.

  • No referral is required. Many clients come to Albuquerque Myofunctional Therapy directly, while others are referred by dentists, orthodontists, or sleep specialists.

  • Myofunctional therapy is often considered an out-of-pocket service. However, understand the value these services provide, and are happy to offer an approachable treatment plan:
